During an interesting conversation with our young, bright director Atul Sabharwal at Red Lorry Film Festival in Mumbai yesterday, my only advice to the younger generation of good actors and technicians was to follow and respect good film directors over money and fame if they wish to be remembered as one of the best artists for life in cinema. "Be passionate for excellence in your work rather than business interests."

While receiving the Mukta Arts ‘KARZ' Trophy for celebrating its 45 years at Red Lorry Film Festival yesterday, veteran actor Simi Garewal received a big ovation from the audience for her memorable performance in KARZ.
In her speech, Simi Garewal said… “Though I am always so proud of our cult film KARZ by Subhash Ghai, I applaud even more his initiative to set up a premier film school, WHISTLING WOODS, for younger generations in filmmaking and creativity, which is called the real success of life.”
