"Proud of our acting student Rajshree Deshpande from Whistling Woods Actors’ Studio for achieving the Filmfare Award (Critics) for her best performance in Trial by Fire on Netflix this year. My congratulations to Rajshree and the faculty of Actors’ Studio at Whistling Woods for developing soulful humans in our actors." - Subhash Ghai

"Let’s understand the difference between a teacher and a guru. In today’s time, 40% of your teacher is your communication through AI, ChatGPT, new technology, and the school you choose. But still, 60% of the guru is within you — a real guru for yourself to reach heights of success. So always select wiser human company to develop your wisdom and human side along with knowledge. Please do preserve this poster we have at Whistling Woods International. It’s for you. Jai Guru Purnima Day. Love and blessings." - Subhash Ghai

"I felt proud of the debut director of the film Nikita Roy, who shows us great sparks as a director in command in his very first film, and he is Kussh S Sinha. I saw it last evening — a suspense thriller, a mystery, a horror, well shot like a class film on superstitious and rational thinking. It reminded me of the cinema of Alfred Hitchcock of our time, technically, but today. My congratulations to Kussh Sinha and the entire team of this engaging film Nikita Roy, coming next Friday in cinemas. Bless you for great success." - Subhash Ghai

"When YouTube entered Whistling Woods International campus to train and create content for YouTube channels, it was from 2015 to 2019. They shared knowledge and the philosophy of education with content creators at Whistling Woods. Mr. Lance Podell, former Director & Global Head of YouTube Spaces, was highly impressed and established a YouTube Space only at the Whistling Woods campus. Big comes to Whistling Woods to become biggest. Blessed." - Subhash Ghai

"Astonishing! Just wait, please — "Now cinema will be bigger and bigger every year. Pocket plays will remain on small screens at home." Indian audiences are yet not westernised. We are an epical people, and we want to see our epics on the big screen with international quality. When we have thousands of epical stories yet to be told in cinema halls with big sound and bigger visuals… Congratulations to the team of Ramayanam, especially Namit Malhotra, Nitesh Tiwari, and Ranbir Kapoor, for a super initiative to bring a big epic to big screens worldwide. Kudos and blessings!" - Subhash Ghai

"Thank you Government of India – Finance Ministry, for a Certificate of Appreciation to Mukta Arts Ltd for its contributions to nation-building through our regular payments to GST and Customs departments, and for the recognition of our culture, like other honest companies of India. That’s our foremost duty. Thank you." - Subhash Ghai

"I have always been more in admiration of good and great actors than just cosmetic stars of any time. Good actors enhance the storytelling — stars play stars to glitter the film. I was more happy to get compliments from Irrfan than to receive an award at an award function. So, I remember this picture vividly. We miss you, Irrfan." - Subhash Ghai

"A memorable film like Pardes can be made only when writers, directors, and actors work together passionately in building up every moment of the film. That happened exactly when my co-writer Neeraj Pathak, my dialogue writer Javed Siddiqui, and my super actor Shah Rukh Khan put their full energy into creating and performing a scene like this in the climax. I just got a picture of the shooting of Pardes in Fatehpur Sikri." - Subhash Ghai

"What attracts me the most to go to Whistling Woods International every time? The passion of students all over the campus and the happiness on their faces. “Do what you love” is the philosophy of Whistling Woods that keeps them growing with all positive energies. I feel happy and blessed when they achieve their goals step by step in the industry with a sense of excellence. I still remember Cadence Music Festival 2025." - Subhash Ghai

"Why is Yoga Day a pride of India? It’s an ancient gift to Bharat, which gave us super guides to life like Buddha, Krishna, Mahaveer, Adi Shankaracharya, Rama, Paramhansa Ramakrishna, J. Krishnamurti, Osho, Brahmakumari, Sadhguru, and Ravi Shankar. Getting energies against all odds is yoga. Whistling Woods is proud to celebrate International Yoga Day every June at campus for the last ten years. Here is one flash of Digna Popat, who displayed postures at Yoga Day 2023 at Whistling Woods. Now celebrating on 21st June 2025 with Yoga Guru Dr. Hansa Ji Yogendra." - Subhash Ghai

"Today: Yoga Day, Music Day, Whistling Woods Day – 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM: Celebration. Welcome Brahmakumari Soul Space – Ankita Rajan, WWI Music School. Yoga performance by Nikita, Shamli, and Anjali. Today, a yoga workshop at the campus of Whistling Woods International." - Subhash Ghai

"Yoga gives you a supreme power and energies in today’s invasion of new technologies. I believe it strongly. So we celebrate Annual Yoga Day on 21st June at campus with students, staff, and faculties, with you and celebrities at campus. You are welcomed to join us at 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM to experience the energies of yoga at Whistling Woods International, Mumbai." - Subhash Ghai

"It was a happy moment for me last night when Luv Sinha, son of our dear Poonam Sinha and Shatrughan Sinha, clicked our picture at my home during dinner with friends. Shatrughan Sinha, my old friend since our FTII days—struggling years in show business—and I made our first film Kalicharan and created our own space of success. We became a close family till date, though his passion led him to politics and mine to filmmaking and education. But we still meet on all occasions since the past 60 years with our wonderful families. Last night we really enjoyed, laughed, and spoke like old college friends with promising Luv and Kush and our jovial good friends Shashi Ranjan and Rumy Jaffery. Shatrughan is gold by heart but iron rod by his mind—as always, if I know him." - Subhash Ghai

"You need to have courage to produce a film with a new hero on a big scale with creative freedom to make a blockbuster like Hero, which ran for 75 weeks and its music is still haunting. After 43 years, thanks to my team, my actors, distributors, and financier who supported me to establish Mukta Arts in 1982. Post Hero, Mukta Arts groomed many stars who are legends today and produced 42 films under Mukta. Feel blessed." - Subhash Ghai

"Actors of Amaira talk at Radio City Studio to let the Marathi audience know that they are coming with an interesting story and beautiful music, with a theme that friendship is the best relationship within family to achieve celebration of life. Music is on TIPS Marathi now and the film is in cinema halls on 23 May." - Subhash Ghai

"No song can be a timeless classic without great lyrics and music. Today is a masterclass between Irshad Kamil, Mithoon Sharma, and Subhash Ghai at Cadence Music Fest at Whistling Woods International at 5:30 PM today. A must join to learn in fun." - Subhash Ghai

"Sonu Nigam launched today the music of Amaira in Marathi at Whistling Woods International on the eve of the announcement of the Mohd. Rafi Music Scholarship event. The title song of Amaira was screened in the auditorium with the team of Amaira: leading man Ajinkya Deo, co-producer Suresh Pai, singer Raj Shekhar, guest Shahid Mohd. Rafi, singer Madhura Padave, and me as moderator to celebrate Cadence Music Festival 2025." - Subhash Ghai

"A big thank you to our Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi ji, for this great and much-needed vision and initiative of WAVES launched today in Mumbai to develop our young generation to dig into our Indian millions of stories and narrate them to the rest of the world—how rich we are in storytelling through drama, music, cinema, and all other digital avenues available today—and grow our economy through our own cultural heritage. Was so happy to see the best of India’s talent and achievers at WAVES joining his mission and vision today. Jai Bharat, Jai Maharashtra, Jai WAVES—connecting creators and countries." - Subhash Ghai

"Any father would feel the biggest pride of his life when his children prove better than himself, especially his daughter, touching the peaks of the right kind of education in the field of creative arts, technology, media, and cinema in India. She worked for 20 years in building up a world-class institution as Whistling Woods International in Maharashtra since 2006 to develop young creative minds. My heartiest congratulations to Meghna Ghai Puri and her most committed team for building our nation as a big soft power and a nation of innovations in content and technology both. We all are proud of you all." - Subhash Ghai

"Ajinkya Deo – an actor with versatility, great voice, and charismatic presence on the big screen – surprised me when I watched his super performance on the big screen in the film Amaira in Marathi. I found him to be a seasoned actor for all languages, especially in Hindi cinema. He rocks on screen. Congratulations and best wishes, Ajinkya Ji, for Amaira releasing on 23rd May in cinema halls." - Subhash Ghai

"I was so surprised to watch a Punjabi actor Rajeshwari Sachdev performing so brilliantly in a Marathi film against our veteran Marathi star Ajinkya R. Deo in the film Amaira, produced by Mukta Arts Ltd., to be released on May 23rd in cinema halls. All kudos to you, Rajeshwari, for your super acting talent irrespective of any language. Wow! Stay blessed always, Team Amaira." - Subhash Ghai

"Tips Music Industries signs Mukta Arts for the music rights of Amaira, a Marathi film produced under Mukta Arts Ltd., in tradition of their long association since 1993 with Khalnayak till date, with 98% success as blockbuster film music. Music teasers and songs will be broadcast by tomorrow all over the world. "Each song is a gem," remarks an ardent music lover." - Subhash Ghai

"A super Marathi film Amaira – a film of today’s age story in Marathi cinema – has been beautifully written by Mihir Razda and directed by Lokesh Gupte under Mukta Arts Productions. You need to listen to its songs, beautifully crafted and performed by actors on screen, which are being released by Tips Music soon. The film is releasing in cinema halls on 23rd May." - Subhash Ghai

"Addressing 1000 students aged 15 to 18 years at IIMUN – Indian International Movement to United Nations – an organisation of the youth of India, was fun today. My answers to major questions were: 1. Accept all, respect all, and do what your soul says. 2. Feminism is the biggest virtue gifted to this world. 3. Religion is a faith – spirituality is the discovery of the universe. 4. Youth is an energy at the top of life. 5. Make films to tell Indian stories to the world 6. Real success is that which is shared with others." - Subhash Ghai

"Some songs grow on you without knowing the reasons, but you keep humming while travelling or working after hearing its audio. And this is one of the three songs from the film Amaira in Marathi from Mukta Arts, releasing soon. Congratulations, Team Amaira." - Subhash Ghai

"She is Sai Godbole – a most entertaining star on social media as of now – but she surprised me with her outstanding acting talent in our Marathi film Amaira. She is a singer, actor, dancer, and what not? Wow! So let’s wait to see her on the big screen in Maharashtra cinema halls on 23rd May. God bless her." - Subhash Ghai

"Glad to see this ad today in Bombay Times celebrating its 19th year of excellence of a world-class institution in creative arts, technology, media, and cinema. It’s amazing to see the increasing number of young creative minds every year, keen to join this field of entertainment and innovation at Whistling Woods International, Mumbai." - Subhash Ghai

"My stars talked about my films while I talked otherwise. While receiving the IIFA Award in Malaysia for my outstanding contribution—with so much love from Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, and the film fraternity—I called my daughter Meghna Ghai Puri on stage, who has outstandingly contributed to my dream of building an institution, Whistling Woods International, for students in the arts and craft of media and entertainment for the next generations, sharing the proud moment of my career. Thank you." - Subhash Ghai

"My hearty congratulations for the great performances of three generations of actors – Sai Godbole: Rajeshwari, Pooja Sawant, and Ajinkya Deo in Mukta Arts' Marathi film Amaira. I saw it last week – everyone is just one up on each other. Wonderful! My best wishes for Amaira in cinemas on 23rd May." - Subhash Ghai

"Bye Bye Manoj Ji, the legendary filmmaker of India who influenced patriotism through his cinema, through his charismatic presentation of poetry, songs, drama, and master craftsmanship of camera movements. In our generation, we were his fans and admired his sense of patriotism and cinematic expression. I personally learnt a lot from him as a filmmaker and person both. Can’t forget how he used to inspire me always after watching my films. Not only we, but the whole nation will miss you, Manoj Ji. R.I.P. Jai Hind." - Subhash Ghai

"Sky is the limit" for all creative students in this campus called Whistling Woods International, renowned as one of the top ten schools in the world. Congratulations, Team WWI! - Subhash Ghai

My debut feature film Amayra is releasing in cinemas on the 23rd of May! I’m so grateful to the entire team of this lovely film. Thank you, Mukta Arts Ltd and Subhash Ghai sir, for your kind words!

"SAI vs SAI In 2008, Mukta Arts introduced her in the super hit Marathi film Sanai Choughade, and she is Sai Tamhankar, who is a superstar today in Marathi cinema and entering into Hindi cinema. Proud of her. TODAY, Mukta Arts is introducing another new actor in our forthcoming Marathi entertainer titled Amaira, and she is Sai Godbole, a wonderful talent indeed. MEET HER IN SOCIAL MEDIA TOM ON GUDI PADVA DAY." - Subhash Ghai

"A Writer to Writer: When a talented writer, Mushtaq Sheikh, receives a book on the making of Subhash Ghai's films as Karma’s Child, he is amused to read it, as he himself has been very much a part of the journey of Subhash Ghai since Pardes with SRK till date. He knows that all the stories are true and boldly told by Subhash Ghai about the challenges he faced." - Subhash Ghai

A sound travels through generations – KARZ." - Subhash Ghai

I am always proud of KARZ.” At Red Lorry Film Festival, Mumbai, while receiving the Mukta Arts Trophy celebrating 45 years of KARZ yesterday, she was highly applauded by the audience for her performance in KARZ." - Subhash Ghai

"During an interesting conversation with our young, bright director Atul Sabharwal at Red Lorry Film Festival in Mumbai yesterday, my only advice to the younger generation of good actors and technicians was to follow and respect good film directors over money and fame if they wish to be remembered as one of the best artists for life in cinema. "Be passionate for excellence in your work rather than business interests." Thank you, Atul, for a wonderful Q&A session we had at Red Lorry Film Festival. Stay blessed always!" - Subhash Ghai

"Do you know this pretty girl rehearsing her dance steps is TINA MUNIM – AMBANI now? For our song “Main Solah Baras Ki – Tu 17 Baras Ka” with Rishi Kapoor in the film KARZ in 1980. Those days, we used to compose and rehearse on locations, only on the spot. Improvisation was a nature of filmmaking in those days. I casted Tina as Tina in the film as she used to behave, talk, and laugh as an innocent teenager as you see her in the film. KARZ today is celebrating its 45 years when everything has changed in the cinema world, but a spirit to celebrate your golden work." - Subhash Ghai

"HOW CAN I FORGET 24 October 1978 – the Mahurat day of my KARZ when I started my first film production company with the blessings of my first producer N. N. Who knew KARZ would be a cult film celebrating its 45 years now at RED LORRY FILM FESTIVAL on 21st March at 11:30 AM at PVR BKC BANDRA. Great fun to interact with the audience. Feel blessed." - Subhash Ghai

"When film KARZ was born… only because of this one scene — a moment when a mother’s soul recognizes the soul of her deceased son and everyone is shocked except her son Monty? I wrote the whole story and screenplay around this core moment. NEVER KNEW IT WOULD BE A CULT CLASSIC after 45 years. Now screening with the present cast and crew on 21st March at 11:30 AM at PVR BKC BANDRA at RED LORRY FILM FESTIVAL as a premiere film as legacy rewind. Please join us to know the mystery of making KARZ." - Subhash Ghai

"Mukta Arts today is not looking for stars but only refined, dedicated film directors and good, deeper writers for the big screen for pan-cinema worldwide. We will be bringing back the magic of cinema in Indian theatres once again with novel stories for everyone, as our Mukta Arts has been traditionally attempting to achieve this since 1978. KARZ." - Subhash Ghai

"WHY CAN A GOOD FILMMAKER TODAY NOT NARRATE HIS FILM THE WAY HE WANTS ON THE BIG SCREEN? I spoke my perspective on a podcast with renowned trade analyst Komal Nahata on the art, technology, and commerce of filmmaking today, which stops me from going ahead even though I have seven classic scripts in my hand that we have developed over the last seven years." - Subhash Ghai

"तू लक्ष्मी भी है, तू शक्ति भी। तू दुर्गा भी है, तू सरस्वती। तू नैया भी है, तू माझी भी। तपस्या भी तू, समाधि भी। HAPPY WOMEN’S DAY! Stay blessed and empowered always." - Subhash Ghai

"When a veteran actor plays a small role in a film, he makes it a memorable character on the big screen! Who can forget SIR JUDA in the film KARZ, played by our veteran star of 70s/80s cinema, PREM NATH, as the mute villain of the film? Now watch him in KARZ with celebrities on the big screen of PVR BKC Bandra on 21st March at 11:30 AM at the RED LORRY FILM FESTIVAL." - Subhash Ghai

"WHO CAN FORGET KAMINI IN KARZ? The amazing performance of SIMI GAREWAL in a timeless KARZ, celebrating its 45 years of being as fresh as ever in Indian cinema. RED LORRY FILM FESTIVAL is screening it as a premier film on 21st March at 11:30 AM at PVR BKC theatre, with an interactive session with Simi Garewal, Neetu Rishi Kapoor, and myself to pay our tribute to Rishi Kapoor and our iconic KARZ. Please join us to have fun." - Subhash Ghai

"Why is Bollywood bleeding today? Because of the heavy cost of watching a film in cinema halls. Cinema lovers have stopped going to theatres to experience a collective watching of a movie on the big screen. The only solution – if Bollywood, along with state governments, formulates 30% of cinema hall tickets to be capped at an affordable price as an economy class for more viewers to come, as done by Tamil Nadu state ?. A big question today." - Subhash Ghai

"A flash shot of CM Yogi Adityanath Ji came to Mumbai in 2018 to promote Sanskriti Kumbh 2019 and met Bollywood industry. He presented a trophy to Meghna Ghai Puri, President, Whistling Woods International, and we made a documentary on Kumbh - A Power Bank in association with students of Whistling Woods, which was screened all over Kumbh 2019 to educate the young generation too. Feel so good to see 65 crore devotees today visiting Maha Kumbh - a pride of India." - Subhash Ghai

"Talking to students at Whistling Woods - Screenwriting was a pleasure today on changing audience since 50 years till Gen Z generation, where emotional and mental connect between a storyteller and audience is the most important factor for a writer to write even today. A wonderful Q&A session between me and students of screenwriting." - Subhash Ghai

"NAYAK NAHI: KHALNAYAK HU MAIN… Who can forget these two adorable stars as the best Khalnayak and Nayak on the big screen? They came to my home to wish me on my birthday recently. Thank you, dear! I love their passion for cinema today and forever. God bless!" - Subhash Ghai

"A hug of mutual admiration between the lead actor and writer-director for getting a great admiration from the viewers of our short film GANDHI - A Perspective, being shown now @waves_pb. Congratulations to the alumni, teachers, and Team WWI!" - Subhash Ghai

"I always feel honored when our students of Whistling Woods are honored by distinguished achievers like Pankaj Kapur and Javed Akhtar at our convocation event, Class of 2024. They shared their wisdom and quotes with graduates facing new challenges in their industry. Remarkable." - Subhash Ghai

"An honour to the honourable legendary artist Javed Akhtar Saab with a Maestro Award from Whistling Woods International Film School of Creative and Performing Arts for his outstanding accomplishments in his 50 years of career in the film industry and his inspiration to the new generation. The Maestro Award is instituted by the academic faculty and students every year and is bestowed upon two legends on every convocation day—24th January, since 2008. Congratulations, Javed Saab, for inspiring many generations to come. Stay blessed always!" - Subhash Ghai

"Very few know that my film Kisna was released today in 2005—a period drama on the journey of Indian culture. It was actually shot in two languages, Hindi and English, starring Vivek Oberoi and an English actress, Antonia Bernath. It was premiered at IFFI Goa and Cannes Festival for foreign delegates and was much appreciated for its story, music, and aesthetics of cinema. It had two composers, A.R. Rahman and Ismail Darbar, with lyrics by Javed Akhtar. It was the first film of Isha Sharvani and the last film of Amrish Puri. But it was declared a “time-ahead movie” at the box office, but with everlasting music till date. I’m still proud of this movie, as always." - Subhash Ghai

"RITWIK GHATAK - a contemporary quality filmmaker of times of SATYAJIT RAY CINEMA who happened to be our vice principal of FTII - Film Institute of India in 1963, who changed my whole perception of Indian cinema and gave me a new perspective to the art and craft of cinema in your own narrative whatever it may be. I learnt a lot from him and used many of his traits technically in my mainstream cinema otherwise. On his centenary year 2025. My real salute to my first teacher in cinema ever. Please watch his film AJANTRIK - you will be shocked to see an emotional relationship of a taxi and taxi driver. Long live RITWIK DA" - Subhash Ghai

"TODAY, STUDENTS AND ALUMNI OF WHISTLING WOODS INTERNATIONAL PAY THEIR HEARTFELT TRIBUTE TO THEIR MENTOR AND CHAIRMAN OF THE ACADEMIC ADVISORY BOARD OF WHISTLING WOODS, #SHRI SHYAM BENEGAL, WHO DESIGNED THE COURSES OF FILMMAKING SINCE 2006 AND HAS PRODUCED MORE THAN 3,500 SHINING ALUMNI IN THE FILM AND MEDIA INDUSTRY TODAY. We all will always be grateful to you, Sir, always with love." - Subhash Ghai

"The Pioneer master of Indian parallel cinema, Shri Shyam Benegal, is no more with us, but his teachings, inspirations, and definitions of cinema with social issues will always remain with us and younger generations of filmmakers. He has been our mentor and founder architect of all the courses in filmmaking at #Whistling Woods since 2006, especially to me in my growth as a mainstream filmmaker. Sir, you will always live with us as a master and guide both in the growth of Indian cinema. Your contribution to Indian cinema is invaluable for good. RIP. WE LOVE YOU ALWAYS. WITH GRATITUDE." - Subhash Ghai

"Gulzar Saab told us a story on the launch of my book that we few FTII acting alumni went to him for one role. He selected me, but I humbly asked him to offer this opportunity to my other class fellow needier than me, and he cast him in Mere Apne. That was my mother’s first teaching that helped me in the long journey of 50 years. Thank you, Gulzar Saab, for gracious words and blessings on my book on my professional journey as Karma’s Child." - Subhash Ghai

"My long-time inspirations and associates speak about my stories behind our iconic movies in my new book as Karma’s Child, is unique to read now in your store." - Subhash Ghai

"BOTH ARE MY REAL GURUS. BOTH WERE BORN ON THE SAME DAY. DILIP KUMAR: TAUGHT ME HOW TO BRING DIGNITY TO MY WORK. OSHO: TAUGHT ME HOW TO BRING DIGNITY TO MY LIFE. TODAY, MY SOUL BOWS DOWN TO WISH BOTH OF THEM A HAPPY BIRTHDAY WITH MY UTMOST GRATITUDE ALWAYS." - Subhash Ghai

"MOHD RAFI SAAB MODELLED HIS SINGING FOR 15 STARS DIFFERENTLY. That’s what I observed in the genius of a playback singer like Mohd Rafi, who is different from singers of other genres. I shared this at an event, A Tribute to Mohd Rafi, at IFFI 2024 with #Sonu Nigam, #Sharmila Tagore, #Anuradha Paudwal, #Yatindra Mishra, and the singer son of Rafi Saab, #Shahid Rafi. An interesting observation from each one. Great fun." - Subhash Ghai
